How To Train Your Dragon

What a great movie! This was a fun and entertaining movie even for adults. The 3-D effects were cool and not overdone or pointless. At times I forgot the Dragon wasn't real. You really fall in love with the dragon in this movie. The animation is so good that the emotions come through in his eyes. Animation has come such a long way! The story is sweet and of course there are some good lessons for the viewers as well.

The story is about a young Viking (Hiccup - yes that is really his name) that wants to win his father's acceptance and woo the heart Astrid, another dragon hunter-in-the-making, by fighting and killing dragons. He learns a lot about the dragons he is getting ready to slaughter and in the end his friends and father learn a lot of valuable lessons too. Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson and America Ferrara are a few of the voices that bring the characters to life.

A must see at an IMAX theater near you! A word of caution, if your children are easily frightened you may want to skip this movie.
